About the Artwork
A living map of Philippine biodiversity, this hand-illustrated design showcases iconic native trees such as Malabayabas, Bagras, Pagatpat, Bakhaw, Agoho, and Talisay, all vital to local ecosystems. Hidden within the vibrant artwork are reminders of what’s at stake: the Tamaraw, Pangolin, Philippine Tarsier, Philippine Eagle, Kagwang (flying lemur), Bleeding-heart Pigeon, and Kalaw (Philippine hornbill). You can also see the humble Tambasakan (mudskipper) in the artwork if you are into details as well. A bold signboard embedded in the design calls on all of us to “Protect our Biodiversity.”
